Public Watch councils

September 29, 2010 the President of theKyrgyzRepublic, Roza Otunbayeva issued a decree «On improving the interaction between the government and civil society», which was entrusted with the executive power to create public watch councils (PWC).


Their main goal — is the need to ensure the participation of citizens in public control of the executive authorities (IVF), effective interactions with the public for a constructive dialogue in the formulation and implementation of public policy.


To PWC became intermediaries between the people and government, and thus ensure the transparency of their activities and the elimination of corruption needed to find effective ways of their formation and function. Therefore, in the ONS on a competitive basis were recruited active members of civil society, academia, business — associations, professional trade associations, experts.


Today the Institute PWC already operates at 41 State IVF KR (ministries, departments, state committees, agencies, and services).


President of the Forum of Women’s NGOs of Kyrgyzstan Nurgul Dzhanaeva is deputy chairman of the PWC in the Ministry of Economic Regulation.
