Program «Combating discrimination and violence against women»

Violence against women is one of the obstacles to achieving the goals of equality, development and peace. Violence against women is a violation of the human rights and fundamental freedoms of women, and prevents or prevents them from enjoying these rights and freedoms.

The issue of eliminating violence against women is:

  • Condemnation of violence against women and refusal to refer to any traditions, customs or religious motives

  • Public women’s organizations and women’s groups are united in a single network within the framework of the Forum of Women’s NGOs of Kyrgyzstan “Participation of Women in Political Processes”
  • As part of the program, public women’s organizations and women’s groups increase their capacity to combat violence
  • A network of women’s organizations and women’s groups within the program carry out advocacy work and lobbying for reform of national and local legislation, research and analysis
  • Public women’s organizations and women’s groups are united in a single network within the framework of the program of the Forum of Women’s NGOs of Kyrgyzstan “Combating Discrimination and Violence against Women”
  • The network of women’s organizations and women’s groups within the framework of the program carry out joint actions, projects, actions, express positions on issues of violence against women
